The Ceremony
We were originally booked at the Skyline Chapel at The Quad.
It was recently renovated and looks gorgeous! However, I was becoming frustrated with getting nickle and dimed for everything. With all the changes and customizations we wanted, our ceremony was going to cost almost $1000 at the end.
I found out that the Cosmopolitan had re-opened the Pop-Up Chapel from February 11 to April 30, 2013 and it seemed like a sign. I called them up right away to talk to the coordinator and the Cosmopolitan offered everything I wanted and more.

We used the Going to the Chapel package which includes:
It doesn't sound like much, but the chapel let us bring in our own photographer, videographer and floral without charging an outside vendor fee. We can also use our own music selections via an iPod dock, again with no extra charges. |
Photography
The in-house photographer, Cashman, hasn't gotten great reviews on The Knot and photography is important to us, so we decided to pay the outside vendor fee and bring in our own photographer. We've booked Mike L Photography for the day, as well as a Trash the Dress Session two days after the wedding. I had been borderline stalking their blog for the last three years and was so excited to work with them!
Music Selections
Now that we get to choose our own music, we actually had a hard time choosing them. There are so many songs we like that we could have use and so many other songs we like that are just so totally inappropriate for our wedding ceremony. This is what finally decided on:
Prelude:
Prelude:
- Ho Hey (The Lumineers)
- Rhythm of Love (Plain White T's)
- Mario Kart Love Song (Sam Hart)
- In Your Arms (Kina Grannis)
- Little Wonders (Rob Thomas)
- Beside You (Marianas Trench)
- Our Time Now (Plain White T's)
